If you need to place an order for rush delivery, or if you have any questions about when your package will be delivered, please contact us at shop@valerieconfections.com
The website lists all of the products that are normally available online from Valerie Confections. From time to time products may be out of stock or otherwise unavailable. We will attempt to notify you by email within two (2) business days of the ship date, should such a case arise. If we are unable to contact you, we will adjust the billing as appropriate.
Valerie Confections retains the right to substitute items of similar or greater value, at no extra cost to the purchaser.
Please note that orders generally require 24 hours to process. We ship Monday through Thursday, with delivery Tuesday through Friday. Orders received after 3 pm on Thursday may ship the following Monday. Please call directly for rush orders, or with any questions about when your order will be scheduled to ship.
You must provide a valid street address for your order, including apartment numbers, suites or floor numbers. We are not responsible for delays resulting from incorrect or undeliverable addresses.
Shipped orders will not require a signature to complete delivery, and will be left at the delivery address if no one is available to receive the package. On warmer days, this may result in the chocolates melting. Valerie Confections is not responsible for packages damaged at, or taken from, a destination where no person is available to receive it. We highly recommend shipping chocolates to an address where the recipient will be available to receive them.
Please note that we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.
No delivery is available on these National holidays, or the day immediately following them. As described herein, other black out days will apply.
At this time, we do not ship to international destinations.
To ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, an additional $10 charge will apply.
Please note that if the destination city's temperature is more than 75 degrees, we reserve the right to upgrade the shipment to FedEx Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air, and bill the difference to your credit card. If you have chosen Ground when temperatures are over 75 degrees, we are not responsible if the chocolates arrive melted and will not offer any refund. Notification of any shipment is sent to the sender's email address.
We ship via FedEx, using Overnight, 2nd Day Air, or Ground/Home delivery.
We are not responsible for delays caused by FedEx due to weather or mechanical error and are not able to offer refunds for those reasons.

Shipping and handling charges apply to each address where an order is shipped, based on the current published FedEx rates. Shipping costs will be automatically calculated when making your purchase. In the warmer months, from May 1 to October 15, we ship 2Day Air and Next Day Air - higher rates and a surcharge for extra insulated packaging will apply.
Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with Tracking Information from FedEx directly, and you’ll be notified again if there are any unexpected delays while your package is in transit. You can also track your order at any time using the Track Your Order link at the top and bottom of our website.
